Axel's take: 7.4/10

A sensible budget stop, with comfortable basics and some dated edges. a no-frills 2-star hotel just off I-90, scored for what it is.

SilverStone is a no-frills 2-star freeway hotel that makes sense for a practical overnight stop. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff, while Booking.com’s overall feedback is more moderate. Free parking, in-room refrigerators and microwaves help make it good value for travelers driving through Spokane Valley. The indoor pool and hot tub are useful extras, not reasons alone to book.

Expect an older property rather than a polished refresh: guests mention worn furnishings and occasional housekeeping or maintenance misses. There’s no elevator, so request a ground-floor room if stairs are difficult. Breakfast deserves clarification: the website advertises a hot buffet, but recent guests consistently describe vouchers for Denny’s next door. We’d choose it for an inexpensive road-trip stop, but skip it if you need step-free access guaranteed or consistently updated rooms.

• Best for: budget-conscious road trippers; short stays with a car

• Watch out for: no elevator; dated furnishings and occasional maintenance misses; confirm breakfast arrangements

• Location: Easy I-90 access and nearby dining; better suited to drivers than a downtown sightseeing stay.

• Rooms: Comfortable basics with refrigerators and microwaves; furnishings can show wear.

• Cleanliness: Recent feedback is mostly positive, though some guests report missed cleaning.

• Service: Helpful, friendly staff earn frequent praise; problem handling is less consistent.

• Amenities: Indoor pool, hot tub, free Wi-Fi and parking; confirm hot-tub operation before relying on it.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast may mean Denny’s vouchers rather than the advertised buffet; upper floors require stairs.
