Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong airport overnight, with useful extras but dated rooms. A practical mid-range airport hotel with an indoor pool and seasonal waterslide, scored for what it is.

This mid-range airport hotel is a strong pick for an early departure or late arrival: the terminal is within walking distance, and a free shuttle handles luggage-heavy trips. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the convenient location, helpful staff and generally clean, comfortable rooms. Included hot breakfast, an on-site restaurant and an indoor pool make it more useful than a basic overnight stop.

The trade-off is an older property rather than a fresh, modern hotel. Recent guests mention dated interiors, and some report hearing neighboring TVs and closing doors. The waterslide is seasonal, with restricted operating hours and a minimum height requirement, so confirm before promising the kids. We'd choose it for flight-day convenience, not a polished getaway or a walkable downtown base.

• Best for: Early departures and late arrivals; Families wanting a pool; Travelers without a rental car

• Watch out for: Dated interiors and some room-to-room noise; Seasonal waterslide with restricted hours; Extra charges for extended parking and pets

• Location: Walkable to the airport terminal; downtown attractions require a drive.

• Rooms: Generally comfortable but dated; some recent guests report neighboring-room noise.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive across Booking.com and Expedia, despite occasional housekeeping complaints.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength in recent reviews.

• Amenities: Hot breakfast, restaurant, indoor pool, hot tub and free airport shuttle; waterslide operation is seasonal.

• Fees and surprises: Extended parking and pets cost extra; early check-in and late checkout may also incur charges.
