Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong riverside pick with generous extras, but room placement matters. a comfortable 3-star all-suite hotel on the Spokane River, scored for what it is.

Oxford Suites Downtown Spokane is a comfortable 3-star all-suite hotel that delivers particularly well on the basics. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and genuinely helpful staff. The riverside trail makes exploring Riverfront Park and downtown easy, while included hot breakfast, parking and an evening social add real value. We'd put it high on the list for families and Gonzaga visits.

The main trade-off is noise: several guests describe disturbances near the lobby, elevators and hallways, so request an upper-floor river-facing room away from busy areas. Some reviews also mention tired decor or stained carpeting, though cleanliness ratings remain strong overall. Pets cost extra, and the airport shuttle isn't automatically free. We'd skip it if stylish interiors or reliably hushed rooms are priorities.

• Best for: families wanting space and included breakfast; Gonzaga and convention-center visitors; travelers exploring downtown on foot

• Watch out for: noise near the lobby, elevators and hallways; some reports of worn decor and carpeting; pet and airport-shuttle charges

• Location: Riverside trail access, with Riverfront Park, downtown and Gonzaga within walking distance.

• Rooms: Spacious suites with microwaves and refrigerators; request a quieter location away from common areas.

• Cleanliness: Strong ratings across major sites and repeated recent praise, despite occasional housekeeping misses.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength in recent guest reviews.

• Amenities: Hot breakfast, evening social, parking, indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center.

• Fees and surprises: Pets incur fees; confirm shuttle availability and charges, plus EV charging rates.
