Axel's take: 7.2/10

A practical airport stop with friendly staff, but small rooms and uneven soundproofing. a no-frills 2-star airport-area motel, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 2-star motel in Airway Heights is a reasonable pick for an airport overnight or casino visit, rather than somewhere to linger. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise friendly staff and generally clean rooms. Free parking, Wi-Fi and a light breakfast cover the budget basics, and the airport is a short drive away. We'd consider it for a straightforward, short stay.

The compromises are compact standard rooms, audible neighbors and a breakfast that some guests find too limited. Housekeeping and maintenance also draw occasional criticism, although positive cleanliness reports outweigh them. There is no elevator, and recent guests warn that not every room has a refrigerator. Wyndham now lists airport and casino shuttles as paid, despite some booking sites advertising otherwise; confirm arrangements directly. We'd skip it if you're a light sleeper or need generous space.

• Best for: budget airport overnights; short casino visits; travelers with a car

• Watch out for: small rooms and neighbor noise; no elevator; shuttle charges and room equipment need confirming

• Location: Convenient for Spokane airport and nearby casinos, rather than a downtown sightseeing base.

• Rooms: Standard rooms can feel cramped; refrigerators are not universal, and soundproofing is a recurring weakness.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised in recent reviews, with some missed cleaning details and inconsistent upkeep.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength, though shuttle communication can be uneven.

• Amenities: Free light breakfast, Wi-Fi, stay parking and a fitness room; no elevator.

• Fees and surprises: Deposit required; Wyndham lists paid airport and casino shuttles, EV charging and extended parking; pet fees also apply.
