Axel's take: 8.2/10

A comfortable sightseeing base, with clean rooms but uneven service and parking extras. a contemporary 3-star hotel in Savannah’s Historic District, scored for what it is.

This contemporary 3-star in Savannah’s Historic District is a strong pick for travelers who want comfortable rooms and a walkable base rather than historic-inn atmosphere. Expedia and Booking.com guests consistently rate cleanliness and comfort well, while recent Trip.com reviews also praise spacious rooms and easy sightseeing on foot. The restaurant, bar and gym add useful conveniences. River Street is roughly a 15-minute walk away, not outside the door.

The main compromises are paid valet parking, breakfast that generally costs extra, and service that is less consistent than the rooms. Recent Tripadvisor reviews include repeated billing, reservation-handling and housekeeping-response complaints, although many guests elsewhere praise helpful staff. We'd choose it for a sightseeing-focused city break, but skip it if included breakfast, free on-site parking or consistently attentive service are priorities.

• Best for: couples exploring Savannah on foot; SCAD visitors; travelers who prefer modern rooms

• Watch out for: paid valet-only hotel parking; breakfast generally costs extra; uneven reservation and housekeeping follow-through

• Location: Walkable Historic District base near the SCAD Museum of Art; River Street is about 15 minutes away.

• Rooms: Contemporary rooms earn recurring praise for space, comfortable beds and practical amenities.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across major booking sites, despite some complaints about stayover cleaning.

• Service: Many staff compliments, but repeated Tripadvisor reports flag billing and problem-handling inconsistencies.

• Amenities: Restaurant, bar, fitness center and free Wi-Fi; full breakfast normally carries an extra charge.

• Fees and surprises: Paid valet-only hotel parking and an incidental hold; Choice warns arrival-day authorization is required to retain reservations.
