A strong Savannah base for dog owners, with noise and service trade-offs.
The Brice is a pet-friendly 4-star boutique hotel in Savannah’s Historic District, and we’d pick it for walkable sightseeing and a genuinely welcoming approach to dogs. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and helpful staff. The courtyard, outdoor pool and evening wine reception give it more personality than a straightforward city hotel. It’s a good upscale base rather than a reliably polished luxury stay.
The trade-offs are worth taking seriously: traffic noise in street-facing rooms, occasional barking and recurring reports of slow restaurant service. Front-desk problem handling also gets mixed feedback, despite plenty of individual staff praise. Paid valet parking and a reported amenity fee deserve checking before booking. Ask for a room away from Bay Street; we’d skip it if quiet sleep or consistently seamless service is the priority.

Best for: travelers with dogs; Historic District sightseeing; couples wanting a pool and courtyard
Watch out for: traffic noise and occasional barking; slow restaurant service; valet charges and reported amenity fee
Location: Walkable Historic District location near River Street; Bay Street traffic can affect sleep.
Rooms: Renovated in 2023; comfort earns praise, but room placement matters for noise.
Cleanliness: Recent Expedia guests consistently praise clean rooms, with supporting Tripadvisor feedback.
Service: Many warm staff mentions, balanced by recurring dining delays and uneven problem handling.
Amenities: Outdoor pool, courtyard, fitness center, Italian restaurant, loaner bikes and evening reception.
Fees and surprises: Valet parking costs extra; guests report an amenity fee, so confirm inclusions and billing.
