Axel's take: 8.2/10

A strong neighborhood base, especially if you book a renovated room. A partly refreshed 4-star Meliá hotel in residential Higienópolis, scored for what it is.

This 4-star Meliá hotel is a strong pick for travelers who prefer residential Higienópolis to a busier business district. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff and convenient location near Shopping Pátio Higienópolis, restaurants and the metro. The 2025 INNSiDE conversion refreshed the lobby, bar, restaurant and some bedrooms; recent guests particularly like the renovated rooms. A heated outdoor pool, gym and sauna round out a useful city-hotel package.

The catch is uneven room condition: the refreshed public spaces do not mean every bedroom is equally modern. Recent Tripadvisor reviews still flag worn bathrooms and maintenance lapses, although overall cleanliness ratings remain positive. We'd request a renovated room and confirm breakfast inclusion before booking. Skip it if you expect uniformly new interiors or polished luxury throughout.

• Best for: Business travelers visiting Higienópolis; Couples who prefer a residential neighborhood; Travelers booking a renovated room

• Watch out for: Renovated and older rooms differ; Some bathroom and maintenance complaints; Parking and pets cost extra

• Location: Near neighborhood dining and shopping; Higienópolis-Mackenzie metro is roughly eight minutes away on foot.

• Rooms: Renovated rooms draw stronger praise; older rooms can show substantial wear.

• Cleanliness: Positive overall ratings, tempered by some recent bathroom-cleaning complaints.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength across guest-review sites.

• Amenities: Heated outdoor pool, gym, sauna, Dock restaurant and lobby bar; no confirmed indoor pool.

• Fees and surprises: Valet parking and pets incur charges; breakfast inclusion depends on the booking.
