Axel's take: 7.6/10

A practical Paulista base, provided you can live with very little room. a no-frills budget hotel beside Paulista metro, scored for what it is.

This is a no-frills budget hotel, not a full-service three-star, and we'd choose it for the location rather than room comfort. Paulista metro is practically next door, with Avenida Paulista a short walk away. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, and recent reviews generally support decent cleanliness. Accor now lists renovated rooms and a refreshed B Side restaurant, making older renovation complaints less useful.

The enduring compromise is space: rooms are tiny, storage is limited, and three people will feel squeezed. Guest feedback also flags occasional noise between rooms and queues at breakfast or check-in, though these aren't everyone's experience. Breakfast and parking cost extra. It's a sensible base for short, sightseeing-heavy stays; we'd skip it for families needing breathing room or anyone planning to spend much time indoors.

• Best for: solo travelers on a budget; short sightseeing trips; travelers using the metro

• Watch out for: tiny rooms and limited luggage space; occasional noise between rooms; breakfast and parking charged separately

• Location: Beside Paulista metro and roughly 200 meters from Avenida Paulista.

• Rooms: Accor lists renovated options, mostly 11–13 square meters; room category matters.

• Cleanliness: Generally positive recent feedback, though not uniformly consistent across sources.

• Service: Helpful staff earn repeated praise; check-in can sometimes be slow.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and B Side restaurant; breakfast is available at extra cost.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and pets incur extra charges; check whether breakfast is included in your booking.
