#8 of 9 hotels in Avenida Paulista by Axel's take. Avenida Paulista is #1 of 10 places to stay in Sao Paulo. The best hotels in Avenida Paulista, ranked · Where to stay in Sao Paulo

Axel's take: 7.8/10

A practical Paulista base, but less convincing as a social hostel. A budget hostel with dorms and private suites near Avenida Paulista, scored for what it is.

More SP is a budget hostel with dorms and private suites in Jardins, a short walk from Avenida Paulista and Consolação metro. It’s a good pick for travelers prioritizing location over facilities. Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful reception staff, comfortable beds and convenience; dorm curtains add welcome privacy.

The compromises matter for a hostel: there is no shared kitchen, and guests across several sites describe limited space to relax or meet people. A September 2026 guest reported the rooftop terrace closed for renovation; confirm reopening before relying on it. Bathroom cleanliness also draws recurring, though not universal, criticism. We’d choose it for a short city break, but skip it for self-catering, generous communal areas or consistently spotless shared bathrooms.

  • Best for: Budget travelers exploring Paulista; Short city breaks; Solo travelers prioritizing location

  • Watch out for: No shared kitchen and limited communal space; Rooftop renovation reported in September 2026; Uneven shared-bathroom cleanliness

  • Location: Jardins location near Paulista, Consolação metro, restaurants and cafés.

  • Rooms: Private suites and air-conditioned dorms; guests appreciate bed curtains, but some find rooms cramped.

  • Cleanliness: Many positive reports, balanced by repeated complaints about shared bathrooms.

  • Service: Helpful, friendly reception staff earn consistent praise across Booking.com and Tripadvisor.

  • Amenities: The official site confirms Wi-Fi and 24-hour reception, but explicitly says there is no shared kitchen.

  • Fees and surprises: Guests report extra charges for towels and blankets; breakfast is not included. Confirm rooftop availability before booking.
