Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong Berrini base if breakfast and location matter more than room size. A no-frills 3-star business hotel in São Paulo’s Berrini district, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 3-star is a strong pick for a short Berrini work trip. Fênix says it opened in 2024, and its practical setup includes a lobby for informal meetings. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the breakfast, helpful staff and convenient location; recent Expedia reviews also frequently describe clean, well-kept rooms. It delivers the basics well without pretending to be upscale.

The main compromise is space: small bedrooms are a recurring complaint, making this better for sleeping between appointments than spending much time indoors. Parking costs extra. A minority of guests report housekeeping or maintenance lapses, but those do not dominate the wider feedback. We'd skip it for a spacious, full-service stay; for a straightforward business base, it's a very good fit.

• Best for: Short Berrini business trips; Solo travelers prioritizing the basics; Travelers who value a good breakfast

• Watch out for: Compact bedrooms; Paid parking; Occasional housekeeping and maintenance lapses

• Location: Well rated for the Brooklin/Berrini area, with restaurants nearby.

• Rooms: Compact and functional, with air-conditioning, blackout curtains and Smart TVs; space is the recurring drawback.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised in recent Expedia reviews, though occasional bathroom-cleaning complaints appear across sites.

• Service: Friendly, attentive staff are a consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor.

• Amenities: Breakfast, free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception and an informal coworking lobby cover the essentials.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is charged separately; Expedia lists breakfast as included and does not allow pets.
