Axel's take: 8.2/10

Warm service and roomy accommodation outweigh dated interiors, but check renovation status. a traditional mid-range hotel in Moema, scored for what it is.

Estanplaza Ibirapuera is a traditional mid-range hotel in Moema, and a strong pick if you value space, helpful staff and neighborhood restaurants over contemporary design. Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the comfortable rooms, breakfast and attentive service; cleanliness also earns solid marks. We'd choose it for a practical São Paulo stay rather than a hotel-centered getaway.

The trade-offs are aging interiors, aircraft and street noise, and Wi-Fi that may frustrate remote workers. Renovations to social areas and some rooms were scheduled through September 30, 2026; Expedia also identified the restaurant and bar as affected, and an April guest reported daytime construction noise. Completion wasn't confirmed in the sources checked, so ask before booking. Parking costs extra, and Booking.com says faster internet carries a charge. Skip it if quiet, reliably fast connectivity or freshly updated facilities are essential.

• Best for: couples exploring Moema; travelers prioritizing space and service; short stays near Congonhas Airport

• Watch out for: aircraft and street noise; dated interiors and limited free Wi-Fi; confirm renovation completion

• Location: Moema restaurants, shops and everyday conveniences are a consistent strength; this is not a park-front hotel.

• Rooms: Guests praise room space and comfortable beds, but recent reviews still describe dated interiors.

• Cleanliness: Generally well rated across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor.

• Service: Attentive, helpful staff are among the most consistent reasons guests recommend it.

• Amenities: Rooftop outdoor pool, sauna, gym and restaurant are advertised; breakfast receives frequent praise.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and faster Wi-Fi cost extra; renovations were scheduled through September 30, 2026, with completion unconfirmed.
