Axel's take: 8.0/10
A comfortable, good-value base for drivers, but not for a walkable Santa Fe stay. A value-focused 3-star hotel beside I-25 on Santa Fe’s outskirts, scored for what it is.
This is a simple 3-star hotel on Santa Fe’s southern edge, with Southwestern character rather than boutique luxury. We’d pick it for a road-trip stop or a sightseeing stay with a car. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests broadly agree on the essentials: clean rooms, comfortable beds and generally helpful staff. The included breakfast, with New Mexican touches, is a genuine strength.
The compromises are compact rooms and bathrooms, some worn finishes, and a drive to the historic center. The outdoor pool had a documented closure in May 2026, although summer guests subsequently reported it open; confirm availability if swimming matters. We’d skip it for a car-free visit or if spacious, freshly updated rooms matter more than value.
-
Best for: road-trippers; value-minded visitors with a car; short airport-area stays
-
Watch out for: compact rooms and bathrooms; some dated finishes; driving required for downtown sightseeing
-
Location: Easy I-25 access on the southern outskirts; the hotel estimates 15 minutes to the Plaza.
-
Rooms: Comfortable beds and practical amenities, but repeated reports of small rooms and worn finishes.
-
Cleanliness: Broadly strong: Booking.com and Expedia cleanliness ratings support the recurring praise.
-
Service: Usually friendly and helpful, with occasional reports of uneven front-desk interactions.
-
Amenities: Free breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking; fitness center, seasonal outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna.
-
Fees and surprises: No airport shuttle; confirm pool availability and pet rules, which conflict across listings.
