Axel's take: 8.7/10

A dependable Escazú base with standout staff, but not a sightseeing doorstep. A mid-range business hotel in Escazú's shopping district, scored for what it is.

This mid-range business hotel is a strong pick for an Escazú stay: comfortable, consistently clean and surrounded by convenient dining options. Recent Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff and spacious rooms, with cleanliness a particular strength. We'd choose it for business trips or a practical short stay rather than a hotel-centered vacation. Free parking and nearby restaurants make the setup especially useful for drivers.

The main compromise is the highway-side location: central San José requires transport, and reaching Multiplaza on foot is less straightforward than its proximity suggests. Several Booking.com guests mention noisy air-conditioning, while breakfast earns praise for variety but mixed marks for value; check whether yours is included. Current listings show no pool, despite older amenity descriptions. We'd skip it for pool time or exploring downtown on foot.

• Best for: Business travelers in Escazú; Drivers wanting free parking; Short stays near shopping and restaurants

• Watch out for: Highway complicates walking to Multiplaza; Some reports of noisy air-conditioning; No pool in current listings

• Location: Convenient for Plaza Itskatzú dining and Escazú shopping; less suited to downtown sightseeing without transport.

• Rooms: Generally spacious and comfortable; several recent guests flag noisy air-conditioning.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent guest reviews; Expedia rates cleanliness especially highly.

• Service: Friendly, helpful reception and restaurant staff draw repeated praise across sites.

• Amenities: Complimentary Wi-Fi, fitness center and Kitchen & Bar restaurant; current listings indicate no pool.

• Fees and surprises: Self-parking is free; breakfast may cost extra, so check your booking's inclusions.
