Woodcrest is an independent 3-star business hotel on the Santa Clara–Cupertino border, and we'd pick it for comfort and value rather than style. Recent Tripadvisor, Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise spacious, clean rooms, helpful staff and a breakfast buffet that's better than the usual business-hotel spread. Included parking and restaurants within walking distance make it a convenient Silicon Valley base, especially for Apple-area business trips.
The older building is the compromise: the exterior and some furnishings look tired, and occasional reports of overhead footsteps make a top-floor room worth requesting.
