This modern, limited-service 3-star is a strong pick for an airport stopover or a practical San Jose base. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and an included hot breakfast that delivers well for this class. Rooms have microwaves and mini-fridges, and there’s a gym for keeping up your routine. It’s comfort and convenience rather than a destination hotel, and it handles those basics well.
The main catch is parking: recent guests and booking sites describe paid valet parking, despite Wyndham’s website advertising it as free. Wyndham also limits its free Wi-Fi promise to Rewards members, something guests have found frustrating. Despite the Downtown name, this isn’t a walk-out-into-the-action location.
