Axel's take: 8.5/10
A dependable Campbell base with refreshed rooms, friendly service and useful transit access. A renovated 3-star business hotel near the Pruneyard and light rail, scored for what it is.
This 3-star business hotel is a strong pick for a straightforward Silicon Valley stay. Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and welcoming staff; recent Tripadvisor reviews also compliment the beds. Marriott says the full renovation finished in 2026, and spring and summer guests describe a fresher feel. Hamilton light rail is next door, with the Pruneyard’s restaurants within walking distance.
The trade-offs are mostly practical: parking costs extra, breakfast isn’t complimentary, and Marriott lists housekeeping every other day. The outdoor pool, whirlpool and gym add useful downtime options, but this remains a business base rather than a destination hotel. We’d skip it if you want breakfast and parking included or a downtown San Jose address.
