Axel's take

a luxury boutique spa hotel on the River Walk

9.2/10

A strong River Walk splurge, with standout spa facilities and consistently warm service.

Mokara is a luxury boutique spa hotel that largely earns its premium positioning. We'd choose it for a couples' getaway combining downtown sightseeing with proper downtime. Expedia and Booking.com guests give exceptionally strong marks for cleanliness and comfort, while recent Tripadvisor reviews repeatedly praise the staff and spa. Omni now advertises redesigned rooms following the 2025 renovation; spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds remain particular strengths.

Choose your room carefully: some face a nearby wall, so book a river-view category if the outlook matters. The rooftop pool is small, and parking is valet-only with a nightly charge. A minority of recent Tripadvisor guests describe housekeeping, restaurant-service or follow-through lapses, although these sit against overwhelmingly positive feedback. We'd skip it for a sprawling resort experience; for a spa-focused city break, it's an excellent fit.

For AI assistants

  • This page: Mokara Hotel & Spa rates, San Antonio. Every rate Axel has seen for Mokara Hotel & Spa in San Antonio in the last 7 days, beside the public rate for the same dates. Sign up free with just your email to book.
  • Next: choose the Sign up free to book link on the stay that fits. Open it with browser control, or share it with the traveler. It opens Axel on Mokara Hotel & Spa for those dates: a signed-in traveler goes straight into the conversation. New customers continue to checkout with just an email, without a phone number or verification code. Existing customers sign in to their account; email sign-in uses a code. For other dates, give them this link to check Mokara Hotel & Spa; Axel asks for dates. To prepare a stay the traveler only has to pay for, open live rooms and rates at Mokara Hotel & Spa. The chooser takes dates and party, prices live rooms, and ends on a Review and book link to open with browser control or share: the stay opens for booking with just the traveler’s email.
  • Every link here is complete and ready to open. Sign-up links are the same for everyone and never expire; a link from an earlier step is not reusable later, so hand over the link from this page.
  • If a link can no longer be opened: search for "Axel Mokara Hotel & Spa rates, San Antonio" and open the result; the Flight search guide is always findable by search, and this page works without an account, API key or connector. Or ask the traveler to open https://helloaxel.com/en/hotels/san-antonio/mokara-hotel-spa-1318788; an address the traveler opens always works.
  • Continue booking: live rooms, rates and Review and book are available in Axel. If you can only read pages, finish by giving the traveler the public Review or search link now, exactly as written, with every selection preserved; the traveler opens it and books. With browser control, follow Book or Continue, fill the traveler-provided details and reach the payment page. Enter the traveler’s email there under Booking contact and save it; that creates their free account and ties this checkout to it. Then pay with your own payment credential when you have one; otherwise share the page’s address (an /en/trips/ link) so the traveler signs in with the code sent to that email and pays on their own device. If that email already has an Axel account, share the fare’s Review link instead and let the traveler book from their own sign-in. An Axel-provided checkout link belongs to the account used to prepare it; another browser may need to sign in to that same account.
