6.5/10
Useful kitchens and roomy suites, but renovations and recurring upkeep problems weaken the appeal.
This 3-star extended-stay Sonesta is a practical option for Medical Center visits: apartment-style suites have full kitchens, and breakfast and parking are included. Expedia and Booking.com guests regularly praise the space, comfortable beds and helpful staff. It's better suited to settling in with a car than exploring downtown on foot, and the overall guest ratings remain broadly positive.
The catch is consistency. Recent reviews across sites repeatedly mention worn furnishings, malfunctioning air-conditioning or plumbing, musty smells and cockroaches—not just cosmetic aging. September 2026 guests on Engine also describe ongoing renovations, with some reporting mess and disruption; confirm the work schedule before booking. Housekeeping isn't daily, and past pool closures warrant checking if swimming matters. We'd consider it for the kitchen and extra space, but skip it if reliable cleanliness or a disruption-free stay is your priority.

Useful kitchens and roomy suites, but renovations and recurring upkeep problems weaken the appeal. A practical 3-star extended-stay hotel near the Medical Center, scored for what it is.

We'd consider it for the kitchen and extra space, but skip it if reliable cleanliness or a disruption-free stay is your priority.
Best for: Medical Center visitors with a car; Longer stays needing a kitchen; Families needing separate bedrooms
Watch out for: Renovation disruption reported in September 2026; Recurring pest and maintenance complaints; Limited housekeeping and past pool closures
Location: Convenient for northwest-side medical visits, restaurants and shopping; a car helps for downtown trips.
Rooms: Spacious kitchen-equipped suites, including two-bedroom options; furnishings and maintenance are uneven.
Cleanliness: Many guests praise clean rooms, but repeated recent cockroach and musty-odor reports deserve serious weight.
Service: Staff often receive praise for friendliness and room changes; problem resolution is less consistent.
Amenities: Breakfast, outdoor pool, gym and guest laundry; confirm pool availability after recurring closure reports.
Fees and surprises: Free self-parking; incidental card hold and dog fees apply; weekly full cleaning for stays over seven nights.
