Hotels in SalvadorA full-service convention hotel in Itaigara, marketed as five-star but more practical than luxurious
8.3/10
Spacious rooms, helpful staff and a good pool outweigh the uneven polish.
Fiesta Bahia is a full-service convention hotel in Itaigara, not the simple three-star its catalog listing suggests. It markets itself as five-star, but we'd choose it for practical comfort rather than luxury. Tripadvisor and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise spacious rooms, generous breakfasts and attentive staff; Expedia reviews reinforce the generally strong cleanliness picture. The large pool and family facilities make it a strong pick for business trips or families happy to stay outside Salvador's main tourist districts.
The trade-off is uneven polish. Despite renovations reported in August 2026, guests still describe dated interiors, and a few reports across Tripadvisor and Expedia flag unresolved hot-water problems. Parking costs extra, and Pelourinho is roughly 12 km away. We'd skip it for a walkable historic-center stay, beachfront access or consistently refined five-star surroundings.

Best for: Business and convention travelers; Families wanting spacious rooms and a pool; Travelers with plans around Itaigara
Watch out for: Dated interiors in some rooms; Occasional unresolved hot-water complaints; Transport needed for historic-center sightseeing
Location: Convenient for Itaigara shopping; roughly 12 km from Pelourinho, with no beachfront setting.
Rooms: Space and comfort earn praise, but décor and maintenance are less consistent.
Cleanliness: Strong overall guest ratings, with positive recent feedback outweighing scattered complaints.
Service: Friendly, attentive staff are a recurring strength; maintenance follow-through occasionally disappoints.
Amenities: Outdoor and children's pools, gym, restaurant, sauna and convention facilities.
Fees and surprises: Paid parking; Expedia lists pool hours as 9 a.m.–6 p.m.; five-star marketing exceeds the polish some guests find.
