Hotels in Rochester, MinnesotaA budget-friendly 3-star south of downtown Rochester
7.8/10
A practical Mayo base with useful extras, but uneven upkeep.
This budget-friendly 3-star south of downtown Rochester is a good pick for Mayo visits if practicality matters more than polish. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff and comfortable rooms. Free breakfast, parking and a Mayo shuttle make the logistics easier, while an indoor pool, hot tub and attached Crooked Pint restaurant give it more usefulness than a bare-bones overnight stop.
The catch is consistency: reviews across both sites flag dated finishes, maintenance shortcomings and uneven cleaning, although positive room reports outweigh the complaints. Longer-stay guests should confirm housekeeping arrangements. It isn't a clinic-doorstep hotel, so check shuttle times; ongoing Mayo campus construction also affects arrival routes. We'd skip it if you need spotless common areas, reliably fresh interiors or easy walks back between appointments.
