Hotels in RoanokeA practical 3-star airport hotel beside Valley View Mall
7.9/10
A roomy, convenient airport stop, with refreshed interiors but some uneven housekeeping.
This 3-star Hyatt Place is a good pick for an airport overnight or family road-trip stop, rather than a downtown Roanoke getaway. Spacious rooms, sofa beds, free parking and an airport shuttle make the basics easy. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable beds and breakfast. Recent guests also describe refreshed rooms and common areas following renovations.
The main compromises are cramped bathrooms and inconsistent execution: most guests report clean rooms, but several recent reviews flag housekeeping misses, and some describe check-in delays. Construction disrupted the lobby, breakfast area and pool in spring and June 2026; an August guest reports the work finished, and another used the pool. We'd confirm facility availability before booking if swimming matters. Skip it if you want downtown attractions outside your door or consistently polished service.
