The Sands Regency is now J Resort, a remodeled 3-star casino hotel that looks stronger than its old reputation suggests. It’s a good-value downtown base rather than a luxury resort: recent Expedia and Hotels.com guests repeatedly praise spacious, clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. Free covered parking and on-site dining add practical appeal. Despite the catalog label, it isn’t adults-only; the lead guest must be at least 21 to check in.
