Hotels in Puerto EscondidoA simple budget hotel with rooms, cabins and bungalows by Zicatela Beach
6.8/10
Handy for Zicatela nightlife, but worn rooms and noise limit its appeal.
Acuario is a simple budget hotel with rooms, cabins and bungalows by Zicatela Beach. It's a reasonable pick if beach access and nearby restaurants matter more than polished interiors. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the location, and many appreciate the staff and pool. We'd treat it as a practical base for being out and about, rather than a hotel to book for comfort alone.
The recurring drawbacks are tired rooms, aging bathrooms and loud nightlife, especially in sea-facing accommodation. Cleanliness earns plenty of praise, but isn't uniformly reliable. Booking.com also currently warns of hotel renovation work and possible construction noise; confirm the scope before booking. Ask for a garden-side, air-conditioned room, checking its exact amenities. We'd skip it for light sleepers or anyone expecting consistently well-maintained rooms.
