This practical 4-star Mercure is a good sightseeing base rather than a hotel to build your trip around. The Eiffel Tower is a few minutes away, with useful Métro and RER connections nearby. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the location, breakfast selection and comfortable beds. We'd shortlist it for a short Paris visit when convenience matters more than character.
The compromise is the accommodation itself: recent reviews across several sites describe compact rooms, cramped separate toilets and tired décor, although many guests report clean, comfortable stays. Staff attract plenty of praise, but reception service is less consistent. Several guests also mention troublesome lifts. Book an explicitly named Eiffel Tower-view category if that matters; proximity doesn't guarantee a view. We'd skip it for spacious rooms or reliably polished four-star service.
