Hotels in Parisa basic 3-star near Place de la République
6.6/10
Excellent transport links make this workable, but tired rooms limit the appeal.
This is a basic 3-star whose strongest feature is its location, just off Place de la République and close to Canal Saint-Martin. We'd consider it for a short, sightseeing-heavy stay rather than time spent relaxing indoors. Tripadvisor, Expedia and Accor guests repeatedly praise the convenient metro access and friendly staff; included breakfast adds practical value.
The catch is room quality. Recent reviews across those sites describe cramped bedrooms and bathrooms, worn carpets and dated fittings, with recurring complaints about damp smells and uneven cleaning alongside reports of clean, comfortable stays. Air-conditioning performance also draws criticism. Breakfast gets mixed marks, and its basement setting can feel stuffy. We'd skip it if spacious rooms, consistently fresh interiors or dependable step-free access matter: guests report stairs around the lift and breakfast area, so confirm your exact access needs directly.

Best for: short sightseeing breaks; travelers prioritizing metro access; guests spending little time indoors
Watch out for: small, tired rooms and bathrooms; recurring damp-smell and cleaning complaints; stairs and reported lift problems
Location: Excellent for République metro, neighborhood restaurants and walks along Canal Saint-Martin.
Rooms: Compact and often described as worn; recent guests also question cooling and ventilation.
Cleanliness: Mixed: many clean-room reports, but dirty carpets, odors and bathroom upkeep recur.
Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff are a consistent strength, though problem handling varies.
Amenities: Breakfast included, free Wi-Fi and air conditioning; breakfast-room comfort and replenishment divide guests.
Fees and surprises: City tax applies; pets cost extra, and paid parking is nearby rather than on site.
