A strong Left Bank base, with welcoming staff but compact, unevenly finished rooms. a traditional 4-star city hotel near Luxembourg Gardens, scored for what it is.
Hotel Trianon Rive Gauche is a traditional 4-star near Luxembourg Gardens, best chosen for exploring Paris rather than spending hours in your room. We'd shortlist it for the walkable Left Bank location, consistently praised staff and generally good cleanliness. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly appreciate the breakfast, while complimentary minibar drinks add a thoughtful touch. It's comfortable and characterful, but not consistently polished enough to feel luxurious.
The main compromise is space: classic doubles are just 15 square meters, and recent reviews still describe some tired finishes despite the hotel's renovation claims. Small lifts and stairs beyond some lift stops also warrant checking before booking. An Expedia guest reported room-renovation work in July 2026; whether it continues is unconfirmed. Expect city tax and a card preauthorization. We'd skip it if generous rooms or straightforward step-free access are priorities.
Best for: couples on sightseeing breaks; travelers exploring the Left Bank on foot; guests who value friendly service over spacious rooms
Watch out for: compact rooms and variable decorative condition; small lifts; some rooms require stairs; confirm whether room-renovation work continues
Location: Near Luxembourg Gardens, with restaurants, Odéon metro and Luxembourg RER within walking distance.
Rooms: Classic doubles are 15 square meters; comfort earns praise, but some recent guests report worn finishes.
Cleanliness: Generally well rated across sites; isolated bathroom complaints do not outweigh the positive pattern.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff are one of the most consistent strengths in recent guest feedback.
Amenities: Breakfast buffet, complimentary minibar, air conditioning, free Wi-Fi and room service.
Fees and surprises: Budget for city tax and a card preauthorization; check breakfast inclusion and the status of July 2026 renovation work.
