Axel's take: 9.2/10
An excellent small Paris base, with standout staff and sensible comforts. a small, comfort-focused 3-star in Paris’s 9th arrondissement, scored for what it is.
Hôtel Helussi is a 23-room, 3-star that gets the important things unusually right: cleanliness, comfortable beds and genuinely helpful service. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, quiet setting and well-kept rooms. We'd put it high on the list for a straightforward Paris city break, especially arriving at Gare du Nord; Poissonnière métro makes sightseeing easy.
The trade-offs are mostly about space and expectations. Classic rooms are just 13 square metres, so consider a Superior if you have substantial luggage. Espresso machines, arrival soft drinks and a free reservable sauna add something beyond the basics, but this isn't a full-service hotel with a proper bar. We'd skip it if you need wheelchair-adapted accommodation: the hotel's own FAQ says it has none, despite broader accessibility labels elsewhere.
