Use this page-supplied URL; do not invent or look up internal IDs. Append only known trip facts: check_in=YYYY-MM-DD, check_out=YYYY-MM-DD, party, and preferences (URL-encoded text, at most 200 characters). Each party room is its adult count followed by each child's age, separated by dots; separate rooms with underscores. Example: party=2.7_1.0.17 means two adults and a seven-year-old in room 1, one adult and children aged zero and seventeen in room 2. Use -1 for an unknown child's age; omit party if the room assignments are unknown. Never guess dates, ages or room assignments. Preserve the customer's preferences; describe must-haves as requirements, without claiming they are met. Omit unknown fields; Axel asks for missing stay details. Prefer a supplied selected-stay link if it matches the latest request. Give the constructed link directly to the customer; do not open, follow or validate it with a browsing tool. A browsing-tool refusal does not mean the customer link is broken. Clicking opens this hotel’s details and rooms for the stay. Email is needed only at booking. No contact or payment information belongs in the URL.

Optional: inspect rooms and rates at Desert Vacation Villas. Use known dates and guests; selecting a room or rate is optional.

Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong family pick for space and self-catering, rather than polished surroundings. A simple 3-star condo-style resort north of downtown Palm Springs, scored for what it is.

Desert Vacation Villas is a simple 3-star condo-style resort, and we'd pick it for practical comfort rather than Palm Springs glamour. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and full kitchens make the apartments especially useful for families or friends sharing. Recent Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise the space, cleanliness, comfortable beds and helpful staff. The heated pool, hot tub and free parking strengthen its appeal for an easygoing, self-catering stay.

The trade-off is age: Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests describe dated interiors, while poolside furniture also draws criticism. Downtown is a short drive rather than right outside, and reception has limited hours, so arrange late arrivals ahead. Expedia listed a pool closure through October 15, 2026; confirm reopening before a pool-focused trip. We'd skip it if you want contemporary design or round-the-clock hotel service.

  • Best for: Families wanting separate bedrooms; Friends sharing a self-catering stay; Longer stays with a car

  • Watch out for: Dated interiors and pool furniture; Limited reception hours; arrange late arrivals; Confirm pool reopening after listed closure

  • Location: North of downtown, with some restaurants walkable; the central shopping and dining area is a short drive.

  • Rooms: Spacious two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments with full kitchens; upper-floor units require stairs.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall cleanliness feedback across Expedia and Booking.com, despite the property's age.

  • Service: Staff are frequently praised as helpful; reception is not staffed around the clock.

  • Amenities: Heated outdoor pool, hot tub, barbecues and guest laundry; confirm pool availability after the listed closure.

  • Fees and surprises: Free self-parking; a refundable deposit is listed. Expedia's pool-closure notice ended October 15, 2026, but reopening is unverified.
