Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong adults-only pick for pool days, thoughtful design and genuinely welcoming service. a pool-centered, adults-only 4-star boutique in the Uptown Design District, scored for what it is.

ARRIVE is a 32-room, adults-only boutique in Palm Springs’ Uptown Design District, and a strong pick for a pool-focused weekend rather than a full-service resort stay. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds and notably welcoming staff. The heated pool, hot tub, poolside dining and neighboring coffee shop make staying put appealing. Its modern design has personality without the scale of a big resort.

The trade-off is that adults-only doesn’t mean secluded: music, a public restaurant and outside pool-pass guests are part of the setup. We’d skip it if guaranteed hush or a substantial fitness offering matters most. Recent Tripadvisor feedback also flags the lack of in-room coffee. Parking costs extra, breakfast inclusion depends on your booking, and every guest must be at least 21.

• Best for: couples planning pool-focused weekends; friends seeking a sociable adults-only stay; travelers who prefer small design hotels

• Watch out for: all guests must be 21 or older; pool welcomes outside day-pass guests; paid parking and booking-dependent breakfast

• Location: Uptown Design District, with nearby dining; downtown’s main sights require a longer walk, bike ride or drive.

• Rooms: Modern, generously sized rooms earn strong comfort feedback; recent guests miss in-room coffee.

• Cleanliness: Consistently strong recent feedback, supported by high cleanliness ratings on Expedia and Booking.com.

• Service: Welcoming staff are a recurring highlight; requests and housekeeping can be arranged by text.

• Amenities: Heated pool, hot tub, poolside restaurant and bar, firepits and loaner bicycles; not a full-service resort.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is charged; breakfast is not universally included. One dog up to 30 pounds is allowed per room, with a cleaning fee.
