#3 of 6 hotels in Downtown by Axel's take. Downtown is #2 of 5 places to stay in Palm Springs. The best hotels in Downtown, ranked · Where to stay in Palm Springs

Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong downtown pick for walkability, clean rooms and useful inclusions. A mid-range, motel-style hotel in downtown Palm Springs, scored for what it is.

Las Brisas is a mid-range, motel-style hotel with exterior corridors, Mediterranean styling and a landscaped pool courtyard. It’s a strong pick if you want downtown Palm Springs on foot without paying for a full-service resort. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the location, cleanliness and comfortable beds, while recent Expedia reviews also highlight helpful staff. Included hot breakfast and free parking make it good value for this central setting.

The compromise is an older property rather than a sleek desert retreat. Some rooms feel dark, and guests report occasional air-conditioning noise and late-night disturbance from nearby nightlife or other guests. Request a quieter room away from the street and laundry, though silence isn’t guaranteed. We’d skip it if contemporary interiors, extensive resort facilities or reliably quiet nights are priorities.

  • Best for: Couples exploring downtown on foot; Value-minded Palm Springs visitors; Road-trippers wanting included parking

  • Watch out for: Possible nightlife and guest noise; Older rooms with limited natural light; Card-only payment and an incidental hold

  • Location: Central downtown location within easy walking distance of restaurants, bars and shops.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds and mini-fridges; exterior corridors, older styling and occasional noise complaints.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across sites, reinforced by recent guest reviews.

  • Service: Mostly praised as friendly and helpful, with occasional less-positive front-desk experiences.

  • Amenities: Heated outdoor pool, hot tub, poolside bar, included hot breakfast, small gym and guest laundry.

  • Fees and surprises: Free onsite parking; cash is not accepted, and a nightly incidental hold can take time to release.
