Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong convention base with refreshed rooms, but check renovation status before booking. a full-service 4-star convention hotel on International Drive, scored for what it is.

Rosen Plaza is a full-service 4-star convention hotel that makes a practical, comfortable Orlando base. Its convention-center skybridge and restaurants across the street at Pointe Orlando are the biggest draws. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise cleanliness, comfortable rooms and helpful staff; recent reviews particularly like the refurbished rooms. Add an outdoor pool, several dining options and no resort fee, and it's a strong pick for conference trips or travelers wanting more than a basic park hotel.

The main caution is the guest-room and corridor renovation, which the hotel scheduled through fall 2026; completion remains unconfirmed, and guests have reported disruptive drilling. Check directly before booking. Parking costs extra, and some guests mention nighttime noise. We'd skip it for a quiet retreat, but shortlist it for convenience and dependable comfort.

• Best for: convention attendees; International Drive dining and entertainment; theme-park travelers wanting full-service comfort

• Watch out for: renovation completion unconfirmed; paid self-parking and valet; occasional nighttime noise

• Location: Skybridge to the convention center; Pointe Orlando dining and entertainment across the street.

• Rooms: Refurbished rooms draw strong praise for comfort; some guests flag noise.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent guest reviews, including October 2026 stays.

• Service: Generally friendly and professional, with occasional uneven front-desk experiences.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, whirlpool, gym and multiple dining options; Universal shuttle requires advance booking.

• Fees and surprises: No resort fee; parking costs extra, and room-and-corridor renovation completion needs confirmation.
