#9 of 9 hotels in Kissimmee Maingate West by Axel's take. Kissimmee Maingate West is #7 of 12 places to stay in Orlando. The best hotels in Kissimmee Maingate West, ranked · Where to stay in Orlando

Axel's take: 7.2/10

Good Disney value, but dated rooms and current construction need weighing. a budget, motel-style 3-star near Disney, scored for what it is.

This is a budget, motel-style 3-star near Disney, best treated as a practical base rather than a vacation destination. We'd consider it for park-heavy trips: recent Expedia and Trip.com guests praise the convenient location, clean rooms, breakfast and helpful staff. Free parking, hot breakfast and an outdoor pool make it useful for families watching their spending.

The trade-off is an older property with uneven room condition; recent Expedia guests still mention tired finishes and rooms needing upgrades. More importantly, Choice announces property improvements from September 24 through October 30, 2026, with possible construction noise and temporary area restrictions. The pool is unheated, and the park shuttle has limited departures. We'd skip it for a quiet hotel-focused break or if you need flexible shuttle transport.

Best for: budget-conscious Disney visitors; families spending most days at the parks; travelers with a car
Watch out for: construction through October 30, 2026; dated rooms and uneven condition; limited park-shuttle departures
Location: Convenient for Disney, with restaurants and gift shops within walking distance.
Rooms: Basic motel-style accommodation; recent guests report lingering wear despite some updates.
Cleanliness: Recent feedback is mostly positive, though cleanliness is not uniformly consistent.
Service: Helpful, welcoming staff are a recurring strength in recent guest reviews.
Amenities: Free hot breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking; unheated outdoor pool and scheduled park shuttle.
Fees and surprises: Card security deposit required; release can take up to 30 days. Housekeeping follows the third night; construction may restrict some areas.
