#3 of 9 hotels in Kissimmee Maingate West by Axel's take. Kissimmee Maingate West is #7 of 12 places to stay in Orlando. The best hotels in Kissimmee Maingate West, ranked · Where to stay in Orlando

Axel's take: 8.4/10

A strong-value Disney base with friendly staff, but check pool availability and shuttle times. a budget hotel near Disney World in Kissimmee, scored for what it is.

Galleria Palms is a budget hotel near Disney World, and a strong pick for families spending more time in the parks than at their hotel. Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, clean rooms and convenient access to restaurants and shops. Rooms have microwaves and mini-fridges, while hot breakfast and parking make this a practical base rather than a full-service resort.

The trade-offs are aging bathrooms, occasional maintenance complaints and a scheduled park shuttle that won't suit every itinerary. There's also a mandatory nightly resort fee covering amenities advertised as complimentary. Tripadvisor guests reported the outdoor pool closed for repairs in May–June 2026; although the hotel still advertises it, confirm availability before booking a swim-focused stay. We'd choose it for straightforward comfort and value, but skip it for polished surroundings or flexible, frequent park transportation.

  • Best for: budget-conscious Disney visitors; families wanting practical room amenities; travelers with a car

  • Watch out for: mandatory nightly resort fee; limited scheduled park shuttles; confirm pool availability after reported repairs

  • Location: Convenient Kissimmee base for driving to Disney, with restaurants and shops nearby.

  • Rooms: Comfortable, practical rooms with microwaves and mini-fridges; some bathrooms need maintenance.

  • Cleanliness: Generally praised across booking sites, with occasional housekeeping lapses.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff are the most consistent strength across sources.

  • Amenities: Hot breakfast, parking, laundry and scheduled shuttles; advertised heated pool had reported repair closures.

  • Fees and surprises: Mandatory nightly resort fee; full housekeeping every third day, with lighter daily refreshes.
