#6 of 9 hotels in Kissimmee Maingate West by Axel's take. Kissimmee Maingate West is #7 of 12 places to stay in Orlando. The best hotels in Kissimmee Maingate West, ranked · Where to stay in Orlando

Axel's take: 7.8/10

Good family space near Disney, but housekeeping and maintenance vary between townhomes. A mid-range vacation-townhome resort near Disney, rather than a conventional hotel, scored for what it is.

Encantada is a mid-range townhome resort in Kissimmee, not a conventional hotel. It’s a good-value choice for families who want separate bedrooms, a proper kitchen and a private screened patio with a hot tub or splash pool. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests praise the space, peaceful grounds and helpful staff; shared pools give families another reason to spend downtime here.

The catch is consistency. Booking.com reviews include repeated complaints about incomplete cleaning, worn furnishings and poorly maintained private pools, alongside plenty of clean, comfortable stays. Treat the private pools as splash pools, and confirm heating arrangements before arrival. Expedia also lists cleaning and nightly resort fees, a damage deposit and extra-cost housekeeping. We’d choose it for a self-catering Disney trip with a car, but skip it if spotless, uniformly maintained accommodation is your priority.

  • Best for: Families visiting Disney with a car; Groups wanting separate bedrooms; Longer self-catering stays

  • Watch out for: Uneven cleaning and maintenance; Small private pools; confirm heating; Cleaning and nightly resort fees

  • Location: Kissimmee base near Disney; better suited to driving than a car-free holiday.

  • Rooms: Two- to four-bedroom townhomes with kitchens and screened patios; condition varies.

  • Cleanliness: Many guests report clean homes, but repeated housekeeping misses warrant caution.

  • Service: Friendly staff receive frequent praise, though problem resolution is less consistent.

  • Amenities: Shared pools, hot tubs, gym, playground and poolside dining; private pool or hot tub depends on accommodation.

  • Fees and surprises: Expedia lists cleaning and resort fees, a damage deposit and paid housekeeping; parking is included.
