Axel's take: 8.5/10

Spacious suites and a lively pool make this a strong family base, despite extra fees. an upscale all-suite resort and convention hotel near Disney, scored for what it is.

Caribe Royale is an upscale all-suite resort and convention hotel, and a strong pick for families wanting space near Disney without staying on Disney property. Expedia and Booking.com guests strongly praise cleanliness, while recent Tripadvisor reviews highlight roomy suites and comfortable main beds. The waterslide pool, varied dining and scheduled Disney shuttles make it practical for mixing park days with time at the resort.

The trade-offs are a busy, sometimes noisy pool scene, recurring complaints about uncomfortable sofa beds, and resort and parking charges that weaken the value. Shuttle seats require reservations. Two-bedroom villas and their pool area are undergoing phased renovations, expected to finish by the end of 2026; confirm work near your accommodation. We'd skip it for a quiet couples’ retreat, but shortlist it for families using the facilities.

• Best for: families wanting separate living space; Disney trips with resort downtime; conference travelers bringing family

• Watch out for: resort and parking charges; busy pool scene and uncomfortable sofa beds; phased villa and villa-pool renovations

• Location: Convenient for Disney by vehicle or scheduled shuttle, rather than a walkable park base.

• Rooms: Spacious suites with separate living areas; main beds receive better feedback than sofa beds.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across Expedia and Booking.com, reinforced by recent guest comments.

• Service: Generally friendly and helpful, though Tripadvisor includes recurring front-desk complaints.

• Amenities: Waterslide pool, multiple dining options, gym and Disney shuttles requiring reservations.

• Fees and surprises: Budget for resort fees, paid parking and an incidental hold; confirm villa-area renovation impacts.
