Axel's take: 6.5/10
Useful roadside basics, but tired rooms make this a compromise rather than a strong pick. An older budget motel on East Business I-20, scored for what it is.
This is an older budget motel, not a polished full-service 3-star hotel. We'd consider it for a short work stop if practical basics matter more than appearance: breakfast, WiFi and parking are included, and rooms have microwaves and mini-fridges. Recent Expedia guests often praise friendly desk staff, comfortable beds and clean rooms, but its overall guest ratings remain mixed.
Upkeep is the main drawback. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests describe worn finishes, awkward repairs and occasional air-conditioning problems. Expedia also warns of construction at a neighboring building. Wyndham advertises a seasonal outdoor pool, but an August 2026 guest reported it closed; confirm availability before counting on a swim. There is no elevator. We'd skip it for a family leisure stay or if you want reliably fresh, well-maintained surroundings.
