Axel's take: 6.8/10

Useful kitchens and friendly staff, but room upkeep is too inconsistent for an easy recommendation. A no-frills, all-suite extended-stay hotel near Norfolk Airport, scored for what it is.

This is a no-frills extended-stay hotel near Norfolk Airport, strongest on practical extras rather than polish. In-suite kitchens, free parking and complimentary guest laundry make it worth considering for a longer, self-catering stay. Expedia guests frequently praise clean rooms and friendly staff, but the broader picture is mixed: Tripadvisor and Booking.com are less enthusiastic.

The sticking point is consistency. Recent guests across sites describe room odors, uneven cleaning and maintenance problems alongside plenty of satisfactory stays. Staff earn warm praise, though follow-through varies, and overbooking complaints recur. Housekeeping is weekly, not daily; there is no pool, complimentary breakfast or airport shuttle. We'd consider it for a kitchen-equipped stay with a car, but skip it if dependable room condition or a seamless late arrival matters most.

• Best for: Self-catering extended stays; Travelers with a car; Guests who value free laundry

• Watch out for: Uneven cleaning, odors and maintenance; Repeated overbooking complaints; No airport shuttle or complimentary breakfast

• Location: Roughly four miles from Norfolk Airport; more practical with a car than as a sightseeing base.

• Rooms: Kitchens are useful, but guests report variable equipment, worn furnishings and maintenance issues.

• Cleanliness: Many guests praise clean rooms, but recurring complaints make consistency a concern.

• Service: Friendly staff are a recurring strength; problem resolution and reservation reliability are less dependable.

• Amenities: Free parking, Wi-Fi and guest laundry, plus a gym and grills; no pool or complimentary breakfast.

• Fees and surprises: Weekly housekeeping; pets incur nonrefundable fees, with conflicting published terms worth confirming directly.
