Axel's take: 7.6/10

A practical casino-and-concert base, with spacious rooms but substantial extras. a large 4-star hotel connected to Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Canada, scored for what it is.

Wyndham Grand Fallsview is a large 4-star in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada—not the United States. We'd pick it for convenience rather than luxury: indoor connections to Fallsview Casino and OLG Stage make concert nights easy, with the falls and plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise spacious rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff. An indoor pool, hot tubs and gym round out a useful full-service offering.

The main catch is the extras: Expedia lists a mandatory destination fee, while parking charges repeatedly frustrate guests. Room condition and problem handling are less consistent than the Grand branding suggests, although recent cleanliness feedback is predominantly positive. Don't assume the hotel name guarantees a waterfall view; book the specific room category. We'd skip it for a polished luxury escape or if parking costs would spoil the value.

• Best for: Fallsview Casino and OLG Stage visitors; couples on short sightseeing breaks; families wanting spacious rooms and a pool

• Watch out for: mandatory destination fee and paid parking; uneven room condition and problem handling; falls views depend on room category

• Location: On the Canadian side, with indoor casino and concert access and walkable sightseeing.

• Rooms: Generally spacious with comfortable beds; condition and views vary by category.

• Cleanliness: Recent feedback is mostly positive, with some exceptions rather than a clear widespread problem.

• Service: Friendly front-desk staff earn frequent praise; complaint resolution gets more mixed feedback.

• Amenities: Indoor pool, hot tubs, gym, multiple restaurants and free Wi-Fi; breakfast costs extra.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a mandatory destination fee; self-parking and valet are additional charges.
