Axel's take: 6.9/10

A convenient Falls base, but upkeep and extra fees weaken the value. a practical 3-star hotel near Niagara Falls State Park, scored for what it is.

This practical 3-star on the American side makes most sense for a short sightseeing trip. Its strongest asset is the walkable location near Niagara Falls State Park and the Rainbow Bridge. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests often praise helpful staff and comfortable beds, while the indoor pool and gym add useful basics. We'd consider it if convenience matters more than polish.

The catch is inconsistent upkeep. Across Expedia, Tripadvisor and Trip.com, guests describe worn carpets, dated bathrooms and uneven cleanliness, alongside plenty of clean-room reports. This isn't a reliably fresh-feeling hotel. Expedia also lists a mandatory nightly resort fee that includes parking, while Wyndham describes parking as a separate daily charge; confirm your booking's terms. We'd skip it if spotless surroundings and predictable extras are priorities.

  • Best for: short sightseeing stays; travelers prioritizing walkability; families wanting an indoor pool

  • Watch out for: uneven cleanliness and maintenance; mandatory resort fee and unclear parking terms; dated carpets and bathrooms

  • Location: The walk to the state park and Rainbow Bridge is the main selling point.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds earn praise, but dated bathrooms and worn finishes recur in reviews.

  • Cleanliness: Mixed: many clean-room reports, but recurring carpet, odor and housekeeping complaints.

  • Service: Staff frequently earn praise for friendliness, though experiences are not uniformly positive.

  • Amenities: Heated indoor pool, gym, free Wi-Fi, dining and a round-the-clock market; breakfast may cost extra.

  • Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a mandatory resort fee including parking; Wyndham separately advertises paid parking. Confirm inclusions.
