#5 of 7 hotels in Lundy's Lane (Canadian Side) by Axel's take. Lundy's Lane (Canadian Side) is #4 of 5 places to stay in Niagara Falls. The best hotels in Lundy's Lane (Canadian Side), ranked · Where to stay in Niagara Falls

Axel's take: 7.0/10

A practical budget base for drivers, but cleaning and upkeep lack consistency. a no-frills 2-star motel on Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls, Canada, scored for what it is.

Villager Lodge is a no-frills 2-star motel in Niagara Falls, Ontario—not the United States. It’s a reasonable budget base if you have a car: the falls are roughly ten minutes away by road, and spacious rooms, fridges and microwaves make short stays practical. Booking.com and Expedia ratings sit in the low sevens, with guests often praising comfortable beds, room size and value.

The trade-off is consistency. Recent reviews across Expedia, Booking.com and Tripadvisor mix clean-room praise with complaints about missed cleaning and tired bathrooms; service feedback also varies. Don’t count on breakfast: guests still report advertised breakfast missing. Pool and parking information needs checking, too: Expedia lists summer closures despite advertising both, while the hotel promotes its pool. We’d choose it for a simple overnight, not spotless finishes or a walk-everywhere sightseeing break.

Best for: budget travelers with a car; families needing extra room; short overnight stays
Watch out for: uneven cleaning and dated bathrooms; advertised breakfast reportedly unavailable; conflicting pool and parking closure information
Location: On Lundy’s Lane in Ontario, Canada; roughly ten minutes’ drive from the falls.
Rooms: Spacious, simply furnished rooms; selected categories have kitchens or jetted tubs.
Cleanliness: Generally acceptable aggregate ratings, but recent guests report missed cleaning and stained linens.
Service: Friendly check-in earns praise, though other guests describe unhelpful staff; arrange late arrivals directly.
Amenities: Wi-Fi, barbecue facilities and a seasonal outdoor pool; confirm pool and parking availability because listings conflict.
Fees and surprises: A deposit and possible housekeeping charges are listed; Booking.com also shows a service charge, so check the full total.
