Axel's take: 8.0/10

Good budget basics and helpful staff, but watch the extra fees. a no-frills budget hotel on Niagara Falls’ Canadian side, scored for what it is.

This is a no-frills budget hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario—not the United States—and we’d consider it a strong pick for a sightseeing-focused stay. Recent Expedia, Tripadvisor and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, helpful staff and good value. The indoor pool, small gym and arcade give it useful extras without turning it into a resort.

The trade-offs are an older building, unevenly updated interiors and a walk to the attractions rather than a waterfront setting. Recent guests generally find the rooms comfortable, but don’t expect polished finishes. Parking costs extra, and Expedia also lists destination and resort fees plus a deposit: check the full booking total. We’d skip it for a special-occasion stay, but it makes sense for travelers who prioritize clean basics over atmosphere.

  • Best for: budget-minded sightseers; families wanting an indoor pool; short stays with modest expectations

  • Watch out for: parking, destination and resort fees; older building and uneven room updates; not directly beside the falls

  • Location: 5706 Ferry Street is in Ontario, Canada; attractions are walkable, but this is not a waterfront hotel.

  • Rooms: Simple rooms with mini-fridges and coffee makers; guests describe a mix of updated rooms and dated finishes.

  • Cleanliness: Recent reviews lean strongly positive on room cleanliness, despite occasional housekeeping complaints.

  • Service: Helpful, friendly front-desk staff are a consistent strength across recent reviews.

  • Amenities: Indoor pool, small fitness room, arcade and free Wi-Fi are confirmed by Wyndham.

  • Fees and surprises: Paid parking; Expedia lists destination and resort fees and a deposit. The supplied official link belongs to a different Ramada.
