Axel's take: 6.5/10

Useful freebies and friendly staff, but housekeeping and upkeep need more consistency. A budget-minded 3-star chain hotel on Niagara Falls Boulevard, scored for what it is.

This budget-minded 3-star is a practical base for drivers, not a falls-side hotel. Free parking, breakfast and Wi-Fi help keep the stay straightforward, while rooms include microwaves and mini-fridges. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests often praise helpful staff, and plenty report satisfactory short stays. We'd consider it for a quick sightseeing stop, provided expectations stay modest.

The sticking point is consistency. Across recent Expedia and Tripadvisor reviews, stained carpets, inadequately cleaned bathrooms and worn furnishings recur alongside reports of clean rooms. Those are meaningful shortcomings even at this level, rather than simply a lack of polish. Breakfast earns praise, though seating can be tight, and the indoor pool receives mixed maintenance feedback. We'd skip it if dependable cleanliness is your priority or you want to walk to the falls.

• Best for: Budget-conscious sightseers with a car; Short stays near outlet shopping

• Watch out for: Inconsistent housekeeping; Worn furnishings and maintenance complaints; Driving required for the falls

• Location: On a commercial boulevard near shopping; roughly an eight-minute drive to Niagara Falls State Park.

• Rooms: Microwaves and mini-fridges are useful, but guests repeatedly flag stains, wear and bathroom maintenance.

• Cleanliness: Mixed reports: clean stays coexist with recurring complaints about bathrooms, linens and common areas.

• Service: Helpful, friendly staff are a recurring strength, although experiences are not uniformly positive.

• Amenities: Free breakfast and Wi-Fi, an indoor pool and a fitness center; pool upkeep receives mixed feedback.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is free; pets incur an additional fee, so confirm the applicable policy before booking.
