Axel's take: 8.2/10

A comfortable riverfront base for exploring the falls, with a few ordinary chain-hotel compromises. a full-service 4-star chain hotel beside the Niagara River, scored for what it is.

This full-service 4-star beside the Niagara River is a strong pick for seeing the American falls on foot. It's comfortable rather than luxurious, with an indoor pool, hot tub, gym and on-site restaurant making it particularly practical for families. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, clean rooms and walkable location. We'd choose it for straightforward sightseeing convenience rather than a special-occasion splurge.

The extras need watching: parking costs extra, and breakfast isn't automatically included. River-view rooms overlook the upper Niagara River, not the waterfalls. Some guests report noisy air-conditioning, hallway sound or missed housekeeping, although the overall cleanliness feedback remains positive. We'd skip it if you're expecting polished luxury, guaranteed quiet or a dramatic falls view from bed.

• Best for: families wanting an indoor pool; sightseers exploring the American falls on foot; couples wanting a riverfront base

• Watch out for: paid parking and breakfast; river views rather than waterfall views; some reports of room noise and housekeeping lapses

• Location: Riverfront setting within walking distance of Niagara Falls State Park, Goat Island and major American-side attractions.

• Rooms: Generally comfortable, with refrigerators; some guests mention wear, noisy climate control or hallway sound.

• Cleanliness: Mostly praised across sites, with occasional missed cleaning and attention-to-detail complaints.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming staff are a consistent strength in recent guest feedback.

• Amenities: Indoor pool, hot tub, gym, free Wi-Fi and Parkway Prime restaurant; no airport shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: Self-parking is charged; breakfast depends on the booking package, and river-view rooms do not promise waterfall views.
