Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong sightseeing base with spacious rooms and a few predictable extras. A comfortable 3-star chain hotel near Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls, Canada, scored for what it is.

This is a comfortable 3-star on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls—not in the United States, as the catalog suggests. It’s a strong pick for straightforward comfort near Clifton Hill. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious, clean rooms and friendly staff; recent Expedia reviews also describe updated bathrooms and furnishings. The falls are roughly a 15-minute walk away, making this a practical base for leaving the car parked.

The trade-offs are mostly practical: parking costs extra, breakfast isn’t complimentary, and this is a busy tourist district rather than a retreat. Marriott currently lists the outdoor pool as closed for the season; an indoor pool, whirlpool, gym and The Keg restaurant round out the facilities. We’d choose it for family sightseeing, but skip it if you want a quiet resort setting or an all-included stay.

• Best for: Families sightseeing around Clifton Hill; Couples wanting comfortable mid-range rooms; Travelers exploring on foot

• Watch out for: Paid parking and breakfast; Outdoor pool currently closed for the season; Busy tourist-district surroundings

• Location: In Ontario, Canada; close to Clifton Hill and roughly 15 minutes’ walk from the falls.

• Rooms: Spacious and comfortable, with recent guests praising updated bathrooms and furnishings.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff receive repeated praise across both review sites.

• Amenities: Indoor pool, whirlpool, gym and The Keg; Marriott lists the outdoor pool as seasonally closed.

• Fees and surprises: On-site parking and breakfast cost extra; this address is in Canada, not the United States.
