#9 of 9 hotels in Piazza Garibaldi & Central Station by Axel's take. Piazza Garibaldi & Central Station is #7 of 7 places to stay in Naples. The best hotels in Piazza Garibaldi & Central Station, ranked · Where to stay in Naples

Axel's take: 6.9/10

Useful for train connections, but tired rooms make this a compromise. A dated, family-run 3-star near Napoli Centrale, scored for what it is.

Hotel Nuovo Rebecchino is a family-run 3-star near Napoli Centrale, best treated as a practical sightseeing base rather than somewhere to linger. We'd consider it for a short, budget-minded stay: recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, convenient transport links and clean rooms. The location makes train-based day trips straightforward, and breakfast is included.

The compromise is condition. Reviews across sites describe worn furniture, small or awkward showers and fixtures needing attention; cleanliness generally fares better than maintenance. Breakfast divides opinion, while traffic noise and the hectic station surroundings won't suit everyone. Ask for a rear-facing room, which several guests found quieter. We'd skip it if you're a light sleeper or want reliably modern rooms and a relaxed neighborhood.

  • Best for: Budget-minded city breaks; Travelers using Napoli Centrale; Sightseers out most of the day

  • Watch out for: Worn rooms and bathroom fixtures; Traffic noise in street-facing rooms; Hectic station-area surroundings

  • Location: Convenient for Centrale, metro and day trips; some guests find the immediate surroundings uncomfortable.

  • Rooms: Air-conditioned but dated; recurring complaints concern worn fittings, small showers and variable mattress comfort.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly positive recent feedback, though some guests report musty smells or less thorough cleaning.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful reception staff are the most consistent strength across review sites.

  • Amenities: Buffet breakfast, bar, elevator and free Wi-Fi; breakfast and internet receive mixed feedback.

  • Fees and surprises: City tax is payable separately; checkout is 10 a.m., with charges for late checkout and cribs; Expedia lists no hotel parking.
