#9 of 9 hotels in Bandra West by Axel's take. Bandra West is #4 of 9 places to stay in Mumbai. The best hotels in Bandra West, ranked · Where to stay in Mumbai

Axel's take: 5.5/10

Handy for Khar, but inconsistent housekeeping and service make this a cautious choice. a basic budget hotel beside Khar railway station, scored for what it is.

The UniContinental is a basic budget hotel beside Khar railway station, not a conventional student campus despite the listing name. Its strongest selling point is convenience: local trains, restaurants and Khar’s nightlife are close by. The official website shows private rooms, triples and suites, and some recent guests praise helpful staff and comfortable stays. For a short, location-first visit, it can work—but we would not book it expecting dependable comfort.

Housekeeping and reception are the sticking points. Agoda and MakeMyTrip guests repeatedly describe dirty or worn rooms and difficult check-ins; 2026 reviews on ixigo remain divided, including complaints about bathrooms and cockroaches. Noise from the building’s entertainment venues is another trade-off. Confirm your exact room category and breakfast inclusion before paying. We’d skip it for light sleepers or anyone who prioritizes reliable cleanliness.

  • Best for: short, location-first stays; travelers needing Khar’s local trains

  • Watch out for: recurring cleanliness and maintenance complaints; entertainment noise; uneven reception and booking handling

  • Location: Beside Khar railway station, with restaurants and nightlife nearby.

  • Rooms: Private doubles, triples and suites are advertised; guests report uneven condition and maintenance.

  • Cleanliness: Repeated complaints about dirty rooms and bathrooms, with some recent pest reports.

  • Service: Some guests praise helpful staff, but reception and check-in complaints recur across sites.

  • Amenities: The hotel advertises internet, temperature-controlled rooms, and several dining and entertainment venues.

  • Fees and surprises: Confirm breakfast and early-check-in terms; lobby construction was reported in August 2025, but its current status is unverified.
