8.6/10
A strong family resort with standout staff, but check renovation and pool status.
Voyager is a cruise-ship-themed 4-star beachfront resort in Nyali, and we'd pick it for a sociable family holiday rather than a quiet luxury escape. Tripadvisor, Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, clean rooms and energetic children's activities. Themed buffets, evening shows and three swimming pools give families plenty to do; sea-view rooms add an appealing outlook. Its strongest selling point is hospitality, not cutting-edge room design.
The trade-offs are entertainment noise, weak Wi-Fi ratings on Booking.com and recent maintenance disruption. July 2026 guests reported early construction noise and Minestrone dining relocated to the main restaurant. The hotel's August 25, 2026 notice announced a roughly one-week Relax Pool closure, but reopening wasn't confirmed in the sources checked. Ask whether both issues are resolved before booking. We'd skip it for dependable remote working or uninterrupted peace, and check which drinks, dining and water activities your package includes.

Best for: families with children; active all-inclusive holidaymakers; groups wanting entertainment
Watch out for: evening entertainment noise; confirm renovation and Relax Pool status; weak Wi-Fi ratings
Location: Beachfront in Nyali, convenient for nearby attractions rather than central Mombasa sightseeing.
Rooms: Comfortable air-conditioned rooms with garden or sea views; don't expect contemporary luxury throughout.
Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback, with recent guests across several sites praising housekeeping.
Service: Warm, attentive staff are the clearest recurring strength; busy dining stations can have queues.
Amenities: Three pools normally, children's activities and evening shows; Relax Pool reopening remains unverified.
Fees and surprises: Meal plans differ; transfers and some water activities cost extra, so confirm package inclusions.
