Hotels in MombasaA relaxed, full-service beachfront resort with Swahili-style rooms and bungalows
8.9/10
A strong beachfront pick for warm service, clean rooms and relaxed coastal days.
Severin Sea Lodge is a full-service beachfront resort on Bamburi Beach, with palm-filled gardens and Swahili-style rooms and bungalows. It's a strong pick for a comfortable coastal holiday rather than showy luxury. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, cleanliness and food; Booking.com's particularly strong cleanliness and staff ratings reinforce that picture. Two pools and several restaurants make staying on the property easy.
Choose your room category carefully: the hotel confirms refreshed Deluxe Bungalows, but that does not mean every room has the same finish or outlook. Some Deluxe Rooms are surprisingly compact, and sea views require the right booking. Guests describe a cashless system, while Expedia lists an early 10 a.m. checkout and charges for late departure. We'd skip it if expansive rooms or walking straight into central Mombasa are priorities.
