Axel's take: 8.8/10
A strong Moab base for clean rooms, helpful staff and practical extras. A straightforward, limited-service hotel on Moab’s southern edge, scored for what it is.
Wingate is a straightforward, limited-service hotel on Moab’s southern edge, and a strong pick for park trips with a car. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff; Booking.com’s strong cleanliness rating backs that up. Free breakfast and parking make it good value, while the heated outdoor pool, hot tub, guest laundry and bike storage are useful after days outdoors.
The trade-off is being outside the downtown dining core rather than right in it. Several recent Expedia guests mention road noise or repetitive breakfast offerings, though the overall feedback remains strongly positive. Request a room away from US-191 if you’re sensitive to noise, and check seasonal pool dates. We’d skip it for a walk-everywhere stay or resort-style service.
