#1 of 9 hotels in Porta Venezia by Axel's take. Porta Venezia is #7 of 11 places to stay in Milan. The best hotels in Porta Venezia, ranked · Where to stay in Milan

Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong Milan base that gets cleanliness, comfort and friendly service right. a small, comfortable 3-star near Porta Venezia, scored for what it is.

Teco is a small 3-star near Porta Venezia, now also marketed as HÕMA Porta Venezia. It’s a strong pick for a Milan city break: Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guests consistently praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and genuinely helpful staff. Corso Buenos Aires shopping and the M1 metro are close, making this a practical base without staying in the busiest tourist streets.

The compromises are mostly about scale. Entry-level rooms are compact, and several Tripadvisor guests describe a cramped breakfast room, even though breakfast itself generally earns good feedback. Choose a larger room category if you’ll spend much time indoors, and check whether breakfast is included. We’d skip it for extensive hotel facilities or a doorstep Duomo location; for a comfortable, well-connected place to sleep, it delivers.

  • Best for: couples on a Milan city break; solo travelers who value helpful staff; shopping and metro-based sightseeing

  • Watch out for: compact entry-level rooms; small breakfast room; paid parking off-site

  • Location: Near Corso Buenos Aires and Porta Venezia’s M1 metro, rather than directly beside the Duomo.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds earn repeated praise; larger categories offer more breathing room.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor feedback.

  • Service: Friendly, accommodating staff are a recurring highlight; reception is staffed around the clock.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, buffet breakfast and a snack bar cover the city-stay basics.

  • Fees and surprises: Partner parking nearby costs extra; confirm breakfast inclusion and book the correct guest count to avoid occupancy supplements.
